My inspiration came from a Celtic myth where a woman is transformed into a butterfly, a timeless symbol of the soul and at the same time the epitome of metamorphosis in nature. Here I have mingled a 19th century portrait of an unknown woman along with an imposing butterfly where the transition from one situation to another depicts the two different phases.
