This painting, for me, is a personal thought about where we are and when we are. I’ve painted a Skye's landscape, but with a sky so intensely colored it feels like a dream, pulling you into a space where what you see and what you feel blend together.

Adding an ancient Greek floral design, like a piece of history, speaks to how the past and our heritage always stay with us. This ancient fragment along with the flat, patterned area that feels like a woven cloth, sets the scene for contemplation. In this scene, I’ve included a female portrait, her face turned as if she’s looking not just at the view, but through it, towards whatever is coming next. She connects all the dreamlike parts through a quiet thought and looking ahead.
