This painting is about introspection, a process which helps people navigate as well as to better understand their feelings and thoughts. Lately, I have been curious to search for information on the history of rural costume and ornaments from different countries. Here, the Russian bride in her traditional wedding costume contemplates her inner reflection. To reach the peak of the mountain is a strenuous endeavour just as this bride is about to face the challenges in life.
